General data protection information in accordance with the GDPR and BDSG for the use of the website www.evonet.de
EVONET Computer Network Evolution GmbH is the operator of the website www.evonet.de.
The company is the responsible body in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and within the meaning of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). It is therefore responsible for the processing and protection of the personal data of users (hereinafter: users) of the website www.evonet.de and of the company’s customers.
The collection, processing, and use of personal data by the IT systems maintained by the company for the website is carried out in compliance with the currently applicable data protection regulations.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

We protect and secure your personal data—as well as all other data generated in the course of our business operations—to the best of our ability and on an ongoing basis. We will provide you with information at any time about all processes relating to your individual personal data processed by us as the data subject (an email to our data protection officer is sufficient – datenschutzbeauftragter@evonet.de). Below, we inform you about your rights in relation to the individual processing steps (as listed in detail). Personal data processed by us in connection with the use of the website will be deleted if

  • the purpose of use no longer exists
  • there are no legally prescribed retention periods or these have expired.

If unforeseen incidents occur with your personal data and this results in or is likely to result in damage to the user, we will inform the user immediately. We are grateful for any reports of malfunctions or manipulation. This is because, despite the highest level of protection, our IT systems – like all others – are vulnerable to attack with the appropriate effort.

2. INFORMATION ON INDIVIDUAL PROCESSING OPERATIONS

In the context of inquiries by e-mail, for example for information material/offers on products and/or services of the company, evonet.de stores the personal data transmitted with this (e-mail address, first name and last name of the user). Optionally, the user can also provide their salutation, title, address, telephone number, and information about a product and/or service of the company, as well as send individual messages to evonet.de in free text fields.

  • This data is processed for the purpose of handling the inquiry.
  • The personal data entered during user registration is processed in order to enable the use of evonet.de’s services, in particular the contact function.

User rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation:
The user concerned may object to the use of personal data by evonet.de as described above at any time with effect for the future. To exercise the right to object (appeal): see section 3.

Each time the website is accessed, usage data is transmitted by the Internet browser used by the user’s computer and stored and processed in log files on the company’s servers. This data includes the following:

  • IP address (the address of the Internet-connected computer used by the user to transmit website-related files)
  • Website URL from which the request (i.e., the user’s computer’s request process) originates
  • Date and time of the request
  • Content of the request (i.e., the specific webpage requested)
  • Success of the request (status message)
  • Session-ID (Identifikationsnummer für den Nutzungsvorgang)
  • Session ID (identification number for the usage process)
  • Time zone difference from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
  • Amount of data transferred
  • Browser used by the user (type, version, language)
  • Operating system of the user’s computer

With additional data stored by the user’s access or host provider about the user as its customer, this data may become personal data. Through the mere act of use (“surfing”), this data is transmitted, stored for no longer than the usual duration of the computing process, and not evaluated in relation to the user for any purpose whatsoever.

The purpose of processing this personal data of the user is to enable them to use the website efficiently and securely.

b) Use of cookies
Evonet.de uses so-called cookies to recognize the user’s computer during current and subsequent use of the website, to offer them targeted information, and to optimize user-friendliness. Cookies are text files about usage behavior that are stored (“set”) on the user’s computer by the browser and contain pseudonymized personal data. Cookies are also used by other teleservice providers, such as search engines and social media services in particular.

Note on preventing the use of cookies by the user:
If the user does not want cookies to be used or wants to delete existing cookies, they can disable and remove them using a corresponding function in their Internet browser. In this case, the usability and user-friendliness of the website may be limited. Further information on deleting or preventing the use of cookies can be found in the help functions of the respective Internet browser used or via search functions, for example, under the terms “deactivate cookies” or “delete cookies.”

c) Use of analysis programs and tracking toolsIn order to optimize the use of the website, analyses of user behavior are carried out by specialized service providers using appropriate methods (“analysis tools, tracking tools”).

The purposes of processing the data collected in this way are as follows:

  • Troubleshooting and optimization of the page layout (graphical representation)
  • Collection and evaluation of key figures on user traffic, its distribution over the day and over time, and
  • Frequency and intensity of use (“popularity”) of content
  • Link usage and cursor movements

Google Analytics
Evonet.de uses the web analysis service Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”), to analyze the use of the website. Cookies are used for this purpose. The information generated by the cookies about the use of the evonet.de website by users is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. evonet.de uses Google Analytics exclusively with the extension “ga(‘set’, ‘anonymizeIp’, true)”, so that IP
addresses are only processed in abbreviated form in order to prevent or exclude any direct personal reference. Through IP anonymization, the IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the EU or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use the information generated on behalf of evonet.com to evaluate the use of the website, to provide reports on user activity on the website, and to offer other services related to website and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

User rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation:
The data processing by Google Analytics can be objected to by the affected user at any time with effect for the future. To do this, the user has the option of installing a browser plugin issued by Google. This is available for various browser versions and can be downloaded at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de 

3. RIGHTS OF THE AFFECTED USER

The affected user of the website has the following rights under Articles 15–21 of the EU GDPR:

  • Right to information pursuant to Article 15 GDPR.
  • Right to rectification pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR
  • Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR
  • Right to restriction of processing pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR
  • Right to data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR
  • Right to object under the conditions of Art. 21 GDPR
